The Columbus Fun League is a social league that holds its members and players to a higher standard of sportsmanship. The CFL is about welcoming all skill levels to enjoy a fun, social, and safe environment on and off the field. We ask that all CFL players agree to and uphold the below code of conduct.
It is each player's responsibility to uphold the code of conduct and we ask you to encourage and remind each other about these agreements. All players have a part to play as we try to keep the Columbus Fun League….FUN!
This is a fun league! If you are desiring a competitive, highly skilled game this isn’t the league for you. If you are looking for a fun, social, league that cares about you on and off the field…welcome!
Playing with various skill levels we ask all players to be aware of who you are competing against and please don’t “bully” players that may be less skilled.
Aggressive play, physical violence and any action outside normal relaxed game play WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
All calls from the referee are final. Any dispute a player may have should be handled by the team captain in a respectable way.
Our referee is like another member of the Columbus Fun League and should be treated as family.
All participants must be on an active roster and sign/accept any facility or league waivers or agreements prior to participation.
It is your responsibility to let your captain know you will be missing a game. No call - no shows could result in removal from the league.
All players will play in 4 minute shifts. 4 mins on/4 mins off. We all pay an equal amount to play, and all should have equal amounts of playing time.
All players are allowed a maximum of 3 games per night. This includes subbing for teams you are not currently on the roster for.
CFL Players are responsible for the actions of any guest/spectator that they bring with them to games.
All Fun League players agree to abstain from any of the following actions:
Verbal or physical abuse toward any participant or spectator.
Verbal or physical abuse toward the official for any reason.
Overly physical play or the use of unnecessary rough tactics against another player.
Display a lack of respect or care for facilities.
Playing under another individual’s name, falsified name, or falsified address on an official roster.
Express any derogatory, discriminatory, or unwelcome comments based on or in reference to race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Engage in any physical or verbal sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is unwanted, unacceptable, inappropriate, or offensive behavior of a sexual nature that affects the dignity of another player and creates an intimidating, hostile, unstable, or offensive play environment.
Additionally, participants are liable for any damage to equipment or the facility they cause outside of normal game play.
Breaking any part of the Player’s Code of Conduct could result in penalties such as:
Warning by official or leadership team
Ejection from game
Suspension from future games without refund
Removal from the league without refund
